Summer 2010 Recap

A.K.A. The Summer We Spent in the Water

This has to have been the hottest summer ever. I could barely stand to be outdoors at all after returning from a nice vacation in the coolness of Southern California. Therefore, when we did venture out, there had to be water! Our usual stop is our neighbors backyard where they have a sweet, cool swimming pool and are so gracious to let us use it.

We also took our annual trip to Indiana to the Atlantis waterpark. We spent the entire day there, but for some reason, I only have this one picture to prove it. Perhaps it was because of the endless hours of playing TAG in a WAVE POOL with 3 people half my size. I'm still sore from that trip.


Then there was the drive to Ohio to the waterpark at King's Island. I know, this does not sound like a relaxing search for cool water....and again, we spent an entire day there, but still do not have one picture of the girls.

And our latest trip was to TN for tubing. Now this was pretty relaxing and cool, and we had an amazing time with my family cruising the Little River,

The kids also had some camps; we have seen every movie out, and gone to some great museums and malls...anything to beat the heat! I can't believe school starts on Monday. This summer has gone way too fast!! I will be back in the fall with hiking and biking pictures because there is NO WAY we are doing any of that in this heat.
